Prayer is the life of the soul
The last piece from the armor of God is prayer. Scripture commands us to pray continually – to be in constant communion with God. Having a prayer filled life means we live in dependence and submission to the Lord; extending sincere prayers to Him in all circumstances and occasions.
The Word warns us to be watchful and prayerful at all times, so we don’t fall into temptation - Mt 26:41. It’s easy for us to relax and put God on a shelf when life is going smooth. Doing so makes us vulnerable to the lures of the adversary. On the other hand when we are in need and desperate for immediate resolutions our impatience makes us an easy prey for the enemy. These are times in which its vital to remember God’s promises and strenght - Lk 18:1, 1Ch 16:11.
