Day14 Praying For Our Husbands
Reading plan for today: Gen2:18, Ps33:20, Ps121:1, Ex18:4
In Gen2:18 the word helper is translated from the Hebrew Ezer, which means help or support; it also refers to one who assists with what is needed. This same word – Ezer is used to describe God (Ps33:20, Ps121:1 and Ex18:4), so by no means the role of the wife is inferior to the role of a husband. God meant for us to be influential in the lives of our spouses, we are spiritual partners, confidants and companions. One of our privileges is to support them in doing the will of God and the right place to begin doing that is in prayer.
Dear God, I want to thank you for my husband. I pray that you help him to use his gifts for your glory and praise. Please keep ______ in good health, so he can attend to his responsibilities. Grant him complete healing from ______ and wisdom as to how to take care of his body. Do not let him go astray but may your anointing falls fresh on him every morning. Grant ______ your blessing, favor, heavenly wisdom and protection while at work and driving on the roads. Father cleanse ______ from any sins that he might have committed knowingly or unknowingly. Refresh and renew his mind daily, especially when ______ feels weary. Please grant him wisdom as he is helping me raise our child/ren. I pray that he will be obedient to your will all the days of His life. Help him to live in your presence and be a great leader of our family. Father I ask that you grant me wisdom so I can be a suitable helper to my husband. Show me the new ways in which I can serve him more effectively, express my respect, appreciation and love towards him. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Walk with God and glorify His name.
My prayer is that this will be a place where you find hope and nourishment for your soul.
